So this is my Portfolio

  and I’ve been…

Some Common

Questions.

  • I have a wide range of skills spanning creative direction, design, copywriting, social media marketing, b2b communications, market research, events, videography, presentation design and more.

Inspired by pop culture, fashion, and everyday life, I specialise in projects driven by big ideas, creating copy and visuals that resonate deeply with target audiences. My strong foundation in business theory and design enables me to bridge seemingly disconnected ideas with ease.

  • I’m fully Japanese + was raised in Japan, but I attended an International School since I was 2. (sad to say my English is better than my Japanese.)

  • Depends on the social situation and who I’m talking to...

But overall I’m quite friendly/smiley, open-minded, observational, curious, and outgoing! That is—if I’m not dying from 3 hours of sleep after selling my soul to brainrot and rabbit holes on the internet.

I love dancing, singing, and meeting new people. I’m deeply intrigued and inspired by other creatives (the amount of times I’ve maxxed out my instagram following is more than I can keep track of) whether that be the work of designers, filmmakers, photographers, singers, fine artists, or ad agencies.

  • My biggest strength is my high self-expectation and work ethic. I try to pick up things even when they are unfamiliar and challenging—just like how I resisted the urge to jump out the window trying to code this web portfolio!

I guess the common belief is that doing too many things makes you the master of none. While I definetley have a lot more to improve with each skill, my quality of work at the moment isn’t completely ass (subjective).

I’ve gained valuable strategy and design experience at leading agencies like VML & Ogilvy, while my work with startups such as Butterflyapp and Milio has strengthened my social media and email marketing skills. I also co-headed the largest university fashion show at Warwick, managing recruitment, concept videography, theme development, venue planning, and sponsorship communications. Struggling, working hard, and learning from constructive feedback have built my confidence in my creative work, mentality, flexibility and contributions.

    1. Tell a story.

    2. Make it fun and play.

    3. Always have a purpose derived from research.
